ROTC / JROTC

The U.S. Army Cadet Command partners with universities to recruit, educate, develop, and inspire Senior ROTC Cadets in order to commission officers of character for the Total Army; and partners with high schools to conduct JROTC in order to develop citizens of character for a lifetime of commitment and service to their community, state and nation.

GLAC is proud to support the four Army ROTC battalions in Southern California:

  • UCLA

  • USC

  • Claremont- McKenna College

  • California State University Fullerton

Omar N. Bradley Scholarship and Education Fund

The Omar N. Bradley Scholarship and Education Fund was established by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter to collect and disburse funds exclusively to further the charitable, scientific, literary, and educational objectives of AUSA. Among the current beneficiaries of the Fund are the above-listed Army ROTC programs and the Army Junior ROTC programs within the Los Angeles Unified School District. At the university level we provide scholarships and awards to cadets in each of the four battalions.

Army Junior ROTC Programs

GLAC is proud to support the Army Junior ROTC programs in the Los Angeles Unified School District and plans for a greatly expanded footprint in 2024. For Army JROTC programs we provide funding for the following Transportation, trophies and plaques for the All City Drill Competition. Food, plaques, trophies, medals and cords for the All City Staff Leadership Competition which determines the top ten cadets in Los Angeles. AUSA- JROTC Achievement Medals to the top cadets in high schools within the Chapter’s area of responsibility.
